Conditions we treat

Rheumatologists treat diseases where the immune system, joints, muscles or bones are involved. If you are not sure whether we are the right office, call and ask.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Artritis reumatoide

Joint pain, swelling and morning stiffness caused by the immune system. Early treatment protects the joints.

Lupus (SLE)

Lupus

An autoimmune disease that can affect skin, joints, kidneys and blood. We coordinate care with your other doctors.

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis

Thinning bones that break more easily. We review bone density scans and offer injectable and infused treatment.

Gout

Gota

Sudden, severe attacks of joint pain from uric acid crystals. Long-term medicine can prevent flares.

Psoriatic arthritis

Artritis psoriásica

Arthritis linked to psoriasis that can affect fingers, toes, the spine and tendons.

Osteoarthritis

Osteoartritis

Wear-related joint pain in knees, hips and hands. Joint injections and a plan to stay active.

Ankylosing spondylitis

Espondilitis anquilosante

Inflammation of the spine and pelvis that causes back pain and stiffness, often in younger adults.

Sjögren's disease

Síndrome de Sjögren

Dry eyes and dry mouth, often with fatigue and joint pain.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromialgia

Widespread pain and fatigue. We rule out inflammatory disease and build a treatment plan.

Vasculitis

Vasculitis

Inflammation of blood vessels that needs careful diagnosis and close monitoring.
